Reducing the Risk of Covid-19

Last updated 14th September 2020
In these uncertain times, we know the importance of holidays and time together with family and friends and we want you to be able to continue to enjoy the beauty and diversity of Dartmoor and the surrounding area. To this end, we have taken the steps listed below to keep everyone safe – guests, our staff and our wider community:

We're Good to go COVID-19 certificate

Check in/Check-out

Please help us by arriving no earlier than 5pm and depart by 9am on your final day. We will email you full details before you arrive.

Training

Our staff have been trained and educated regarding best practice when cleaning and disinfecting.

Sanitising

Hand soap and Hand sanitiser is provided in the house for your use.

Cleaning

The house will have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a non-toxic, odour free disinfectant certified to European standard EN1276 &EN14476.

Linen

All our linen and towels are washed by a professional laundry service. We ask that you strip the beds and place in laundry bags provided to minimise the risk to our staff.

Bedrooms

For your safety we have removed all cushions and throws from the bedrooms – they do look a little bare, but this is a necessity for everyone’s safety!

Games, books, etc.

Any games, maps or books etc, used by guests are removed, sanitised and only returned to the house when a suitable period of time has passed. For this reason, the house may seem a little short on books and games: you are welcome to bring your own.

We are working to industry standards

We are working with industry standards (AA/Visit England) and Government guidelines. Visit England have confirmed that we are compliant with the guidelines to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing. Our primary aim is to keep us all as safe as possible.

We have undertaken a full risk assessment and we will continue to revisit our risk assessment and make necessary changes when advised to do so by industry standards and/or government guidelines.
